Voice of Courage

My latest project was an editorial illustration for Clubhouse Magazine (Focus on the Family), which was published in their November issue. I love working with Clubhouse, they are so easy to work with, and their projects are always so meaningful. This piece was a full spread illustration about Richard Wurmbrand, a clergyman who was persecuted for his faith, then later founded the organization Voice of the Martyrs. The concept was an intentionally limited palette, my favorite kind. This painting has special meaning for me as well, because I recently gave it to my Grandma and Grandpa Costanzo, at a celebration for my Grandpa’s 90th birthday. It reminded me of them. It’s amazing how many lives can be reached in a lifetime.

    Hi Erin,

Just ran across your blog. You do wonderful work. You are the one who illustrated my story that was the Voice of Courage in Clubhouse a couple years back. Clubhouse was wonderful to work with! Well, I wish you all the best as you continue to illustrate.

      Hi Megan,

Thanks so much for finding my blog! I am flattered… especially since it has been such a long time since posting anything here. (My website/blog are in need of updating!) How wonderful to hear from the author of this beautiful story too –that rarely happens! It was such a special project to work on. I loved working with Clubhouse. Thanks for the support, best wishes for your writing as well!

      All the best,
      Erin
